Just replaced my water pump and belt to fix a squeak and whiffs of coolant from the engine. When I have everything out I checked all of the bearings (idlers and tensioners) for smoothness and end play. The one pulley I questioned was the one that the fan mounts to on the Belt Tensioner Pulley Bracket. It was very smooth with no angular play but it moved fore and aft <1mm (see pic).
Anyone know what the tolerance is here?
