The software in the Bluetooth module needs to be updated. Using a GAP IID tool you can update the software easily yourself and your phone will then connect automatically instead of you having to enter 2121 every time you start the engine.This only works for modules that use the 2121 code, not 0000.
I know this to be fact because I did it myself and no longer have to enter the code every time.
Some people also physically replace the Bluetooth module with a module from an LR4 and that fixes the problem.
