I tried to order rebuild kit (consisting of 4 seals) for front right brake caliper at the local parts store. When I went to pick up the kit, I brought my caliper which did not match their diagram of the caliper the rebuild kit was made for.
Thought I had a Discovery SD 1999. I think now it's the 1998 version I need, but the parts store says there is no rebuild kit for that year. Also, I looked at repair manual and it shows total of four (8) seals, not two, for the whole caliper -- 2 per piston - 4 pistons per caliper. In the mechanics manual, the shapes of the individual seals appear the same for Discovery II and Discovery I. Could I use the '99 SD seals if I just buy 2 rebuild kits instead of one?
