brake pad wear sensor/chassis vin mystery

I'm changing pads and need a sensor. Apparently there are 2 different ones depending on chassis vin. Where is this number located, I can't find anything in the manual.

Is the "chassis VIN" different than the "regular VIN?"

I thought it was based on some info I saw. Apparently it's within the regular vin as I just learned.

Sensors should be the same for 2005 - 2009
