Anyone using after market brake pads? What brand are quiet with no noise? Anyone upgrade their brakes - pads, rotors and calipers?

Yes, many are. Loads of posts about it, a simple search will provide a lot of useful information.

EBC Green Box Pads
EBC Sport - Slotted and Dimpled Rotors

Love them good wear life, low noise.

There are a bunch of post though, with others peoples comments on brakes for the LR4.

I just redid my brakes with ACdelco rotors and EBC green pads and love them so far. Not as much dust as stock and no noise.

I just switched from EBC as above (not yellow stuff) that was a mistake for me. I'm now using frozen rotors and hawk pads. Very happy so far. Drop me a line and I'll try to get you a discount. They have 3 types available, standard, slotted, and drilled and slotted.

I also had Hawk ceramics installed on my most recent brake job (rears only, about 1 week ago). My indy shop said that I might sense a different feel but I can't honestly say I notice a difference. Happy with them so far.

EBC yellow went to nothing in 12k miles on my '11 LR4. And ate the rotors.

Take the advice of the other posters, do EBC greens.

I considered the cryogenic rotors from Applied Rotor Technology but then was in too much of a hurry as I had inspection due on my LR3.

What did they run you and I will be curious of their lifespan.
