brakes on a 99 disco I

just wondering what tools or what size sockets i will need to remove the bolts
holding the rotors on?

Couldn't tell you off the top of my head, since I have just about every size in my tool box, I just tend to do the work.

Sorry, it has been almost a year since I upgrade my D1 brakes.

If you have only 1 spanner in your toolbox, I suggest you refrain from any works on your disco. As it is an English vehicle, to remove the rotors and the brake clamps a socket range, flat/ring spanners in inches and long nose pliers to remove the lock pins will do the job. Further no special tools are required.
