When I drive into my garage and turn the car off, I get out and smell a fairly strong burning smell as I get out. It seems to be coming from around the sides of the car but goes away fairly quickly. It only seems to happen when I arrive at my house from the south which would be from up a steep long hill usually in low gear at about 2500 to 3000 rpms and into the steep driveway about 20 ft and then into the garage. I have always smelled it going up a long hill in low gear , once when the windows were open and I smelled it coming through the open window fairly strong. At first I thought it was the brakes but Going uphill I am not using alot of brakes. I hope it is not the gear box! or something burning undr the truck when the engine is under load, or burning oil for that matter. There is no visible smoke...just the odor like something is getting too hot.
Any Ideas,
Thanks.
