It was quite different "back then." When we ordered our 2005 North American V8, this is what was available:

The "Rear Seat Package" added 2 third-row seats with third-row side curtain airbags.

The "Rear Climate Package" added rear air conditioning & controls.

The "Heavy Duty Package" added a locking rear differential and a full-size spare tire.

The "Convenience Package" added a fold-flat second-row seats, a cargo net and an additional front cup-holder.

The "Cold Climate Package" added heated front and rear seats, and a heated windshield.

The "Lighting Package" added Bi-Xenon headlights, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror, Homelink, Rear PDC, and front fog lights.

The "Tow Package" wasn't really a package... it was just a plug-in Hitch Receiver that you can get from your parts desk.

On/Off-Road Navigation included on HSE, but an option on SE.

Adaptive Headlights (late availability) is an option on HSE, unavailable for SE.

Cooler Box is an option (late availability).

HSE has 'upgraded' Logic7 stereo with more speakers and adds rear headphone jacks & controls, unavailable for SE.

HSE has 19" wheels vs. SE's 18".

HSE has 8-way adjustable driver's seat w/ memory, vs. 6-way on SE.

Grommet, that is just the way my HSE is equipped. Only additional adds I put on were running boards, chromed the 19" wheels, Brush guard on front, rear tail light guards, roof rack bars, and black carpet floor mats. Glad I got all the goodies. Well worth it for the convenience and comfort.

Back then, they wanted a stupid price for bluetooth, which wasn't even factory item.
