Cheap steering boxes?

'94 Disco V8i.

Steering box has always leaked, but now it leaks so badly I have to top it off every couple of days...


Any advice or experience on some of the cheap steering boxes out there? I've seen rebuilt boxes as cheap as $300, free shipping. Tons less than the $600 plus the new ones run, but are rebuilt units any good in this truck?

Other than being a hellacious gooey dirty mess, how hard is it to replace the box myself?

BRitish Atlantic is $750 for a rebuilt box! As I said, they seem to be out their for $300 shipped from steering box specialists... But do they hold up?
