Clarion head unit on a RRC - Fixed!

I experienced some serious problems with my Clarion head unit of my softdash (AMR2384). It drained my battery, played only now and then and popped hard sometimes. I took the whole thing apart and found out that the soldered connections at the underside of the main circuit board were badly corroded - like battery terminal corrosion! A proper cleaning job did magic, it works as new and the misterious battery drain is gone.

WOW that is very interesting... I will store that away in my head for other things to check when having battery issues.
