Hey guys, its me againnnnnn. But im still not getting spark from my drivers side coil. I replaced it with a new coil and still no spark, it has new wires and plugs by the way as well. But the passenger side coil fires fine. Now heres my question... There is a wire connector on each coil that has 3 wires in it. We took out the circuit tester and the middle wire in the connector was positive with the key in the "ON" position. The other two wires on each connector i couldnt get a reading out of them even when i attempted to start the car, does anybody know what these other two wires do?? Also i have been told now by two people that there are ground straps going to each coil if you dont have air rails. FIrst off what is an air rail ( i dont believe i have them) and secondly doesnt the bracket that the coils are bolted to serve as the ground?? Im really lost here guys i would really appreciate any help or suggestions in getting this coil to firs.
Thanks,
Kevin P.

I wish I could help you, but this one is a stumper. Please let me know what you find, I would be curious to hear.
Good luck,

We are now getting complicated. First of all, it would make sense to get a wiring diagram of the system, so that instead of guessing, you can check each item in sequence...if you are considering trying to find the problem yourself. Spark at the coils is originated by the crank sensor which sends the signal to the ECU module and ignition control module which then energizes the appropriate coil.
Hope this helps.

In your original thread, you mentioned that you had just finished doing a valve job, after which, you couldn't get spark on one side of the engine. Have you by any chance got your ignition leads mixed up when you put everything back together?
