Hi all!!

Just wanted to know how to remedy condensation in my passenger side headlamp assembly...It happens every winter here in Vegas, and I wanted to know if I have to purchase a new Lamp assembly, or if there's something I can do to fix the problem...Thanks!!!

remove the lamp from the truck and dry it out , run a seam sealer all around the lamp at the factory joints, then you need to see if your bulb seals are torn or broken, also look for any stone chips in the lens itself, water will work it way in there too -Andy

I bet winter in Vegas is a ***** to deal with

Andy, thanks for the reply...Now, where can I get seam sealer? Is it available in auto stores? I think the bulb is ok, because when I first bought the truck 2 yrs ago used (2000 Disco), it had condensation in the lamp assy already...

Oh, forgot to mention that I had already switched out the old bulbs with new ones, after I bought the truck and noticed the condensation in the lamp. So, I'm guessing the bulb is fine...It dries up when it gets warmer, and starts "sweating" again in the winter...

Duh

Silicone will do the trick, or you can use a Hylomar gasket sealer which is made by Permatex now I belive but its the same stuff , good luck and don't forget to check the rubber boot around the bulb and the o-ring for the city/sidelight -Andy
