Conti's or the Yokohama's.

I didn't even think of the Yokohamas when I was deciding. I would give them the edge over the Conti A/T's because they bear the mountain/snowflake symbol. The Conti marketing materials almost conspicuously leave out details on snow performance. That's probably the main thing I liked about the Nokian WRG3s...they were also rated for severe snow service but had the look and feel of a great road tire.

@Quijote I drove my Nokians on unpaved trails, through streams and minor mud/ruts (didn't go as far as rock crawling) and they were fine. But if you want something with more aggressive looks, I think @catman nailed it.
