Dash Guage Question

NAS 2002 Disco SE:
Facing the dash on the right side I have a button under the rear wiper button that looks like a 2 lane road (vertical) with a bridge (horizontal) going across it. Not to sound stupid, but what does it do? Thanks!

I think that is what activates your cruise control
