Defender '97 increase distance from front seats base to ceiling.

Hi, these new generations are much taller than us Baby Boomers.

Has any one been able to lower the front seat rails in order to fit a taller person?

I know it includes relocating the battery and cutting aluminum. My concern is how much clearance is there to the chassis below the front seats.
