I got my Descover 2 stuck this past winter goofing around and messed it up. I think it might be my transfer case. While I was trying to get it unstuck I seen a temp light come on a few times. The temp light I seen I had never seen before. Reading on your forums that the Transfer case has one too. About a week later I start hearing noise coming from under my shifter. When I get it up to like 30 mph and let off the gas it makes the noise but when I put the gas back to it it stops. But there is another problem that started soon after and that is whenever I make sharp turns it's like my wheels are locking up and it makes a really bad clunking noise and sometimes my Traction control light comes on. Can anyone help me? I really like my Land Rover Discovery. Hope I didn't mess it up too bad! Thanks for any help I can get.

Ok new question. If all four wheels are off the ground and transmission and transfer case are in neutral and you turn the driveshaft by hand should all four wheels spin too? I thought neutral meant nothing moves.

I mean if everything is in gear and we are back on the ground and as long as we go straight then there will be no problems until you turn the wheel hard coming out of a parking spot then everything goes to hell because everything is trying to turn at once. It's like the spider gears are welded together front and back. No slip deferential at all.

Almost sounds like the Diff lock is activated, but Not sure on the 2003 if it had a diff lock in it or not guess it depends on the build date. If the Diff Lock has been activated it will do what you are saying.

Well I changed all the gear oil in diffs. Transfer case this weekend. Rear diff. Had water mixed in the oil and the transfer case had alot of metal shavings. They were about 1/2 inch thick on the magnet. Smh. This is going to be costly.

Think I'm going to turn it into a toy now. Buy another car for my every day driver. I'm not going to get rid of it, I like it to much.
