Neutral Safety switch (typically only on Automatics) is usually located on the transmission, although I haven't looked at mine on the rover, it is just a safety to make sure the truck doesn't start in gear. You can bypass this switch if it fails by starting the truck in neutral. If your vehicle oes not start in park, but does in neutral, then you have a bad NSS.
