Discovery Series I XD Front End

What constitutes a "repair" or replacement of a front end? Do all Disco Series I eventually need something like this done? What would the ballpark figure of this be? Parts? Etc.

Any more information? It could be CV's / halfshafts / diffs / carrier / 3rd member, or it could be steering/suspension. What is your dealer/repair guy telling you?
