Doors open hard from outside

I recently purchased a 2000 Range Rover. However, the doors seem to be very hard to open from the outside. Inside opening is fine. Previous owner saidit was always that way. Seems to be a lubrication issue in the outside handles. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Haven't checked the local dealer yet.

Most RR. Have similar problem, just apply some K40 silicon around the moving part on the outside handle, every week for a month or so, this normally bring everything to normal.
