Driving with Tailgate and/or Back Window Open

I was just wondering if it would break or damage the tailgate or back window mountings, if the LR3 is driven with the tailgate and/or back window open. Sometimes I need to carry long items that wouldn't fit if closed. I remember there was a loose tailgate stop bolt issue that resulted in body cracking, so it started me wondering about how fragile these mounts are.
