E85 conversion

I want to convert my Disco 04 to E 85 considering the raising again the price of oil !! any ideas ,anybody convert a v8 4.0 engine ????:biggrin:

First why would you want to convert to E85? Lower fuel economy, and the conversion costs would be more then = to buying a cheap fuel economical car.

Do like I did and buy a Mini Cooper for fuel economy/daily fun and drive the rover as well :)

you must be working for BP !!! we are on this forum for advise not for smart comments conversion kit $342 independence from oil priceless ......:biggrin:see Brazil !!!:albertein

First I don't work for any oil or fuel company. Second the only vehicle I have driven that was E85 Certified was a Rental car and with E85 in it, it burned through gas faster than my Rover and my Rover only averages around 15 right now with my Mud tires and 400lbs of bumper and running boards.

FFVs experience no loss in performance when operating on E85. However, since a gallon of ethanol contains less energy than a gallon of gasoline, FFVs typically get about 20-30% fewer miles per gallon when fueled with E85.
