So I was looking at the exhaust the other day and noticed that there is a unnatural bend in it by the muffler restricting flow. Must have gotten bashed.

My question is ... If I cut off the muffler, do I need to keep it away from the back tire to keep it from heating up the tire? I will need to get it fixed, but for the time being I will settle for dukes of hazzard style.

Anything I'm missing on this?
