Bought my wife an '04 Disco HSE (Zambezi Silver) in May. We got it at Bear Valley Land Rover Sales in Roswell, GA. It had just shy of 21k on it. Great bunch of guys to deal with at Bear Valley. They took our Tahoe on trade and gave us a great deal.

Made an appointment with Hennessy Land Rover in Buckhead to have the 30k service done. I also told the guy the passenger outside door handle needs to be looked at. You have to **** on it to open the door. Also, one of the horn buttons sticks. I dropped the car off yesterday using the Early Bird drop. Some service guy called me around 8:00 AM and tells me - "it says here that you'd like your car back by 4PM. There is NO WAY IN THE WORLD we can have it back for you today". He said they never get cars back to their owners the same day. All of the LR dealers in ATL are owned by Hennessy and they are the same way.

Is this typical of LR dealers? They also don't provide a loaner car if you didn't buy your vehicle from their dealership. I can't believe a premium brand vehicle would treat a customer like this. Heck, I've had a major service, timing belt, and a clutch installed within 8 hours at a dealer with an appointment. All other premium brands I've owned (Acura, BMW, Audi) have provided loaner cars no matter where you bought the car.

Just wondering if this is just a Hennessy problem or its typical of Land Rover dealers in general.

Thanks,
Mike

I am suprised to here you had a good experience at BVLR... I thought the guys were a bunch of arrogant snobs. I got as good if not better deal on my 04 from Hennesey in Buckhead. Anyway... re your service question. I have yet to have my car back same day with the exception of the oil change. In fact I took it in Tues because the Brake ABS and TC light are on and they can even squeeze me in till Mon. (lots of landy problems I guess) I'll let you know how the S/A goes on Mon. Good luck

Wow, surprised to hear that about BVLR. Those guys were so easy to deal with. I saved about $2k from any deal I could have gotten at Hennessy North Point. Not sure if the trade made the difference. I had an '02 Tahoe LT 2WD.

I called Hennessy's corporate office and talked to Mark Hennessy yesterday. He apologized to the treatment I received and called over there to take care of things with the service manager. I'm supposed to get the truck back today. I took the truck in on 10/25, and when I called the next day at 11, the truck wasn't even in the shop yet. I understand service depts get busy but they should have called me on Monday and told me they wouldn't get to my car and rescheduled for Wednesday. But it seems like things are going good now. I'll probably have a black mark on my customer file now. LOL

From what I've read on the LR3 forums, sounds like they have their hands full. I've also seen many low mileage LR3's for sale. I'd never buy a first year anything. My wife loves the Range Rover Sport but who the hell is going to pay $70k for a truck? LOL

What kind of warranty did you get buying a certified LR from Buckhead?

Thanks.
