Hi guys, i need some help. My fill plug broke off the radiator when i was trying to open it. Part of the piece of plastic is stuck inside. How can i get the rest out without damaging the radiator. If i do manage to get the rest out, will i have any problem puting a new fill plug back in? This never happen to me before.I know i can't drive it till i put a new plug in. The broken part that is stuck in side is hard to get out. I don't won't to break anything. Any-feed-back thanks!!!!!! 99 disco1 SD

You will just need to work at it to remove the old piece.
As for a replacement, you can buy a new plastic piece, but because of heat they are all prone to breaking.
I would suggest you order a solid brass plug from Expedition Exchange and be done with it.

Thanks mike, i got the plug out. There is only one thing, part of the plastic drop inside.The peice was smaller than my finger nail. Do i need to drain and the radiator before i buy the new plug. Do you the think the piece will come out if i flush it? If i don't flush it will it hurt the engine. Thanks again!!!!!!!99 disco1 SD

When I did mine a piece dropped in. To be on the safe side I pulled my radiator before I ran it again and flushed it out. The pieces came out the bottom.
If you need a brass plug I have nickel plated brass ones for $15 plus shipping.
