Hi to all,

Having just purchased a 2nd hand LR3 and noting a serious water leak front right hand side I started looking here for answers, and whilst I didn't find what I was looking for I did enjoy reading about some of the issues being discussed so decided to join up.

The good news is I've found the source of the leak and whilst some of you have suggested the windscreen is leaking what I've discovered is that water runs down from the windscreen and under the cover located under the wipers or if you like below the windscreen. It then runs into the fresh air inlet box on the RH corner and directly into the cabin. It will eventually find it's way under the carpets and into the door sill and whilst driving you will here a sloshing sound.

I've written to LR seeking an explanation but yet to receive an answer and as I said it's a second hand vehicle which I purchased privately so I'm not expecting a mad rush of assistance from LR **!

Anyway, hope to here from someone out there and hope this snipet of info can help someone else.

Cheers!

DarrenHSC,
I just bought an 2005 LR3, my first Land Rover. We just had a 3 inch rain and when I went out to get in my car I had a puddle of water in the RH floor board up over the slush mats. The carpet on the RH side all the way back behind the second seats was wet. I have pulled the seats to dry the carpet. Did you find out how to fix your problem with the water coming in the fresh air vent? I am baffled by this having the car only 3 weeks. Any help you or anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
