Hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this issue:

LR3 was driving perfectly fine, however yesterday I got out to get the mail, got back in without shutting it off and had:

1) HDC Fault
2) Parking Brake Fault
3) Parking Brake amber light illuminated
3) No special Programs
4) Speedometer does not work/miles do not accumulate on display
5) DSC and ETC amber light
6) Check Engine amber light
7) Suspension amber light
8) Suspension is in access height
9) ABS light is illuminated

I replaced the battery with a brand new Interstate this AM, but it did not help the situation.

Anyone have a clue? Especially with the speedometer not working? It has been fairly cold (around 25 degrees) or is the my LR3's version of Christmas lights?

Truck has 86,000 miles and has been very well maintained

Sorry to hear your having these issues!

Have you checked the fuses? Any history of water in the cab?

No water problems, but I will try and check the fuses as soon as I get off work tonight. I guess it's possible that the old battery went bad, shorted and blew a fuse.

Is the truck actually in all those modes? In other words, is it stuck in access height? Does the parking brake still actually work? With all those combined "displayed" faults, perhaps your instrument cluster is bad. . .

I've had the non-functioning speedometer/odometer in the past. It was always part of a greater system fault with the accompanying dash lights. I remember driving on the freeway and wondering what to say if I got pulled over and the officer asked "do you know how fast you were driving?" I could honestly tell the officer, "I have no idea."

Sounds ABS related. My Saab had the ABS controller go out and had no speedo, abs light, brake warning light.

update:

Checked fuses; everything seemed okay.

I realized that if I started the truck and switched to normal height immediately before driving it would raise, so at least I am out of access height now.

I'm taking it to the dealership this morning so I will find out what is wrong.

I'm hoping it something easy like replacing the brake stop lamp switch.

For those of you keeping score at home, turns out it was the wheel speed sensor. According to the tech it was physically damaged - not an electrical failure.

Strange since I haven't had it off road since September.

Do you remember what it cost to get it replaced?
