Headlining color differences

Can anyone confirm that the headliner on US market cars with black/grey interiors is a light grey... and the headliner on the Alpaca tan cars is a tannish?

I ask b/c I need to order a new apillar (front passenger) cover since mine got wet, and i got grease on it (that wont come out) -- I saw one on ebay but it says light grey and does look greyish, whereas mine (w/ alpaca interior) looks more tan.

Ideas? Rover dealer no help thus far.

i was also told by the dealer that the rear d-pilar trim w/ hse speakers and w/7 pass seat belts only comes in grey. SO, I would think this must be the only head liner color.

I thought mine was tan, but it is actually gray.
This was true in my last tan leather car as well, I think it is pretty common. It is light so you don't notice it and it kind of takes on the reflected color of whatever you have on the seats/carpet. Gray it is.

I'd agree with Todd, it doesn't really seem grey, but it sure isn't tan.

Why does this have to be? It took me all of 15 seconds to look it up and see that all headliners are Mist Grey, as well as the pillar trims. I just don't understand why this has to be so difficult at some stores...
