heated seats and power windows

hi guys,

I'm interested in buying the LR3 but have a few questions for the current owners of LR3's.

Can you tell me if the heated seats heat the seat and the back, for both the driver and front passenger? How about the rear outer seats, is the seat-back heated as well.

Also, want to confirm that only the driver has one touch up/down. This is a pity for a $50k vehicle. I would assume all windows would be one touch up/down.

Only the seats, not the backs, are heated. One touch is available only to the driver.

That is a shame.. My current ML, which I want to get rid off, has one touch up/down all around and the seat-backs are heated as well. The heated back feels so good.

Oh well.

Don't worry, if that's the only thing you'll miss. Everything else will make you forget about it.

It sure seems like the back rest the seat in my LR3 gets warm. The owners manual says it does. My wife hasn't complained about it yet.

madtown, maybe you should get yours looked at....They're supposed to get warm.

Do you really need to roll the other windows down that much that it's a struggle to have to hold the button down?

My ML has one touch up and down for all windows. So I don't have to hold the switch to roll them down or up. It is a nice feature to have when the weather is nice outside and you want to fell the wind all around you... However, If I had a choice, I'll pick the heated seat-backs over the one touch windows...

Also, I found out that the LR3 has one touch open sunroof but no one touch close.

One touch windows doesn't sound like it would be a big deal but once you have them you really miss them when they are gone. My Audi had one touch sunroof, and all windows. While I don't really fit the LR3 into the luxury vehicle genra, it's just one of those things that should be there. Auto lights, auto wipers, auto tranny, steering wheel controls for audio... it's just funny that they leave that out, especially considering where LR put the windows controls. All of the ergonomic improvements and they stick the window controls in the oddest place. That's one of the things I wish they had kept on from the Disco. Convenience...

My SE seat backs don't get warm either. Is this an HSE/SE thing? That's another little thing I miss from my Audi, that warm lumbar heat held me between chiropractor visits...

I have an SE and checked the sets the other dat after reading this forum and mine do heat up but only about 18 to 24 inches. It seems to heat up to about the point of the lumber support. I have not yet check the back seat but I will soon.
