Hello,
I just purchased a 2005 LR3 V8 SE, with 141K miles on it.
It is in great condition, and I do not have any issue with it so far (got it one month ago, 1K miles so far, including a trip to Yosemite).
By looking under the car, I am quite sure the car only did highway miles, everything is so clean. No dirt/dust, no rust at all. I am living in Santa Cruz, CA, and we basically never have any rain.
Car has been maintained by the previous owner at a LR dealership in California, until the 105K scheduled maintenance included. Between 105K and 140K, I have no idea what the second owner did. I will assume he did not do much except changing oil.
I asked the LR dealership in San Jose a quote for maintenance+brake fluids flush. They said $1100. I guess somebody has to pay for the jag/evoque courtesy cars and "valet" parking staff they have...
As a consequence, I am looking forward to learn new skills in auto maintenance, as I cannot afford going to the dealership for all basic maintenance like brakes, all fluid ....
On my previous cars, I was already doing basic stuff like oil, all filters, spark plugs, ... I need to step up my game.
Thanks,
Gael.
