I have power steering leak and i think i have narrowed it down but would appreciate some guidance.. I have used 2 bottles of lucas and it has only become a worse leak.... There seems to be a hose that comes out of the reservoir and it turns into a metal pipe and then goes into what i think is the power steering box... There is a bolt that secures a metal bracket over that pipe and another. It seems to be leaking from that area. Do those Metal Pipe seals go out or is that a sign of the steering box having an issue? Also the pipe that comes out of there may need to be replaced......

Any help greatly appreciated

Not that I doubt what you are seeing, but check the plan hoses.. it normally leaks at the clamps... cheap clamps can be replaced and stop 90% of the leaks in the PS system

Clamps

Now do you mean the two clamps that come out of the reservoir itself? I will replace both of them and see if anything changes. There are not any other clamps between the reservoir and the steering box, should there be?

Both of the cheap clamps, and also any other (can't remember off the top of my head) cheap clamps on the other end of those hoses.

I run Lucas full time, and I only have a tiny leak. But if those houses are leaking, it won't matter how much Lucas you put in there. Get the hoses checked out, and if it is the hoses or the clamps, change them.

Clamps

I only see the clamps that are holding the hoses to the reservoirs? are there others? Does anyone have any experience with the reservoir to steering box hose seal failing?
