hiya in need of some help with the discovery II!!

Finally a place where people seem to know what they are doing!

I have a 2001 Discovery II and I've been trying to take to mechanic's around me but none seem to be able to deal with my car!
The issue I am having is that my gas meter is stuck. I have fulled it up about a week ago and it was moving until it reached the middle and it doesn't move from there at all, I've put gas in the car twice now and its still not moving. Last thing i want to do is drive around and end up wit no gas... any advice..... the mechanic I took it to say's he doesn't know because he "hasn't worked in a land rover"

if anyone could help that would be great!

Two options in my opinion... first replace fuel pump/sending unit (not cheap) second is to go into the trunk and hit the floor of the trunk area several times hard and see if it becomes unstuck...
