how do i know if i have cdl?

In your '99, there will be a ****** on the t-case for you to add the cdl to your truck. DiscoMike will be able to tell you where to find it on the t-case.

On a 99 Disco it is safe to say you have CDL. If you want to crawl under neith and look then look on the drivers side of the case near the linkage and you will see a metal ****** sticking out, that is the CDL hook up.

Ok thanks guys. Now then, how exactly do I go about getting the cdl hooked up?

You have a chaoice of mechanical or electric. Some people will go out and find the old shifter and linkage from a wrecked Disco, some people have made cable or fix mechanical shifters. I prefer the electric solonoid set up, it is a clean instalation and all you have is a dash mounted switch.
