How do I remove Carpeting

Hello All

I had an interesting little accident. About 100 eggs broke in the back of my dicovery II (2004 model). And it spilled over the mats onto the carpets and soaked right through... cleaned as best I could yesterday...

Today I examined it with the back seat raised, and tried lifting a small portion of the carpet ...and to my surprise ...worms ...

So my question is how do i remove the carpets so that i can get rid of the worms. I do not have the jump seats ... have the storage bins in the rear.

I need help!! I am sure you can imagine the stench...

I havent been inside of a 2004 but it looks like you would need to remove the black plastic trim that runs from left to right in the trunk area. It will either pop right out with a flat screw driver or there might be screws holding it down. Pop off the screw covers in that case. The passenger row carpets should be removed the same way, by the trim via the door openings.
