I have a 2003 freelander TD4 with the BMW origin engine.I saw on youtube a guy replacing hydraulic tappets/valve adjusters without taking the camshafts out using a sort of valve compressing tool to get the rocker arms out and then the tappets. This looks to be a time saving easier job than having to take camshafts out and reset the timing. Has anyone tried this and would it work on above said car. I'm not sure if you could pull the adjusters past the camshaft ? Anyone tried this at all.
