I'm getting music when I plug my Iphone (3g) into the aux plug, but at very low volume. Is there anyway to fix this. Land Rover says that works and the service manager say it will never work (LR3)

Iphone will work with the bluetooth but the transmissions are very garbled.

Define "very low volume". Would you say it's 30% lower than the FM radio or 90% lower? The aux jack on the LR3 is notorious because it knocks off about 30% of the volume. A real PITA. I used a Total Airhead to get it back up to normal. Not a very slick install, but it makes the AUX jack the same volume as the radio.

You can just barely hear music when you put your ear to the car speaker. The volume control has no effect. I'm told by some guy at Radio Shack that it's an impedance issue and that Land Rover isn't the only one that has this problem.

No one I talk to including Apple has any idea on how to listen to your Itunes on a car radio. I'm sort of baffled by this as this would be something that people would want to do. One would think.

Belkin makes an ipod charger/music cable that has a built in amp. That's what I use, as well as a signal amp boost inside the console.

Mine works just fine - either your cable is bad, or there is a fault with the AUX input, or you have the volume on the iPhone set low.

I can get normal listening volume with no problems - it sounds great!

I just crank the volume on my iTouch and then raise my volume on the car stereo to about 15 and I get great sound with no distortions. Just remember to turn the volume back down before you use your radio:rolleyes:

If you're using the headphone jack on the iphone, then yes that makes sense why you don't have volume, it needs to be turned up.

However, some people use a dock connector and have experienced mild levels of volume. For example if your ipod is on volume level 35 and it sounds just right, you may switch over to FM, and blow out your ears.

I use my iPhone plugged into my LR3 all the time, equal to or better than CD sound quality and volume level....of course, I had an iPod jack hardwired into the back of my radio, bypassing the low AUX level input issue.

I found the answer. Land Rover has it their 2009 parts brochure at the Dealership. A device that supports Mp3 players, I-pods, USB, etc. I think you have it installed and it does not go through the AUX input. It is supposed to put end to all the confusion and show your Itunes in the display. It was vague on what it exactly did but I ordered one. When I get it I'll post more. on what it does.

Just to clarify.... itunes is a program on a computer. How much did they quote you on it for?
