Yeah, I've noticed that the MTR tires are quite popular in the UK. However, I'm considering the Pirelli ATRs mainly b/c I'll be on the road more often than mud/technical trails.

This is crazy to mention but I'm running on the stock goodyears with just under 25K and hoping to go to at least 30k before I switch them out. They are noisy but the only issue I've had are 3 nails.

The 19" GY MT/Rs may finally be available in the US, for real this time... This was posted last night on rangerovers.net:

Goodyear MTR 255/55/19 tires (for those looking for them): A call to Goodyear today confirmed they are in fact available in the US and they show over 1000 in the warehouse and a new production run started 7/28/08 (Every prior call said UK only, that is what I kept being told. Go figure?) They said to give the Product number 338697323 to any shop and have them order direct from Goodyear. They said if any shop still says they can't get them, have them call Goodyear (800-321-2136 or 330-796-2121). Once I gave the product number to a couple shops, they suddenly had no problem getting ahold of these tires and could quote me a price. Still costly $320/each from a local shop in Los Angeles, but at least available.

I can confirm that the 19" MT/R's are now available here in the U.S. Was at America's Tire this morning, and the store manager confirmed it for me. $360 per tire at the moment though. :ahhhhh: He said to wait, since they just came out, unles I really wanted them. They should be in the $286 range after a little while.

Is anyone running the MT/R in 275/65R18? It looks like they just came to the US too. They are a touch over 32", so they may be too big, but that would be awesome if they would fit (they are relatively inexpensive too - $259 a piece).
