Keyless entry not working

All, i rencently bought a 2010 LR4 (last on the lot...) and for some reason the keyless entry does not work. Is there a setting I need to change for it, or it is a problem i have? I believe that it worked initially, ie. key in the pocket and try the door and it opened, but now it does not.

Did you check the battery, check the other key fob they gave you to see if that one worked...etc? Can you give us more info of what you tried as it may help.

That said, I remember seeing on this board or one of the other LR boards where a guy in Florida bought an LR4 and could not get his key fob recognized by his car to even start it. They towed it to the dealer and he got a loaner. I vaguely remember the dealer switching out his car because they could not fix it. Hopefully, yours is not the same issue. Good luck!

There is a plan in the manual that says to place the key under the steering column to reestablish the transmitter with the car

Reset the key fob by placing it under the steering column, follow the manual, this should work... And also change the key fob battery since it may have been sitting around for a while. Let us know if this works.
