[imga=RIGHT]http://www.landroverworld.org/guts/news.png[/imga]Initial offers are expected this week for Land Rover after Ford extended the deadline on bid submissions.
This has raised concerns that either the current global credit squeeze is taking its toll on prospective bidders, or that Ford’s appetite for a sale is waning possibly due to Land Rover's recent performance.
The extension could discourage some bidders.
John Gardner, Ford’s European communications chief, said: “We do not talk about the time line in progress, but there is no change in our timeline regarding a possible sale which is still by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.”
