Land Rover Head Unit

ok guys, does anyone have a photo of the removal tools to remove the stereo head unit from a 97 disco? I have tried stereo shops and dealers and no one can help. I want to make some but need the dimensions and shape

There's a pair on eBay right now for $3 with a picture! Search under "land rover radio tool".

There's a list of other cars that the key will fit at the bottom of the listing. Your shop will probably have one of those or they are available locally?

There's several different '97 radio's

Mine's an oddball, it uses a small recessed (5)point star - (1) on each side that unscrews.

Similiar to some BMW apps.

I filed down a pocket screwdriver to unscrew & remove

The others are the normal (2) prong the I use (4) peices of solid wire to push in & release the clips (like my RR was.)

As you can see its just a standard allen wrench. If you have 4 holes in your radio you will need a u shaped tool. Bent metal close hanger will work, or you can buy the official tool on crutchfield.
