Land Rover iPhone app

I'm sure most have found the LR iPhone app that serves as a supplement to the manual and quick start guide. Anyone have any info on an integrated app that allows you to do some cool stuff with your LR like start, unlock, etc. ? I have seen two car commercials while sitting here (chevy and Nissan) that advertise this. Anyone have any info or ideas either OEM or aftermarket ?

I have seen commercials for the 2011 range rover that has integrated an iphone for just that. Not sure how much it would take to more the "brain" to an older model.

We have a 2011 LR4 and a 2011 RRS and I am not aware of any such app. Do you think it is only for the RR ?

The LRX was the 2008 concept car for the upcoming 2011 Range Rover Evoque, and as it's often the case a lot of the technology showcased in concepts doesn't translate to production car versions. The iPhone integration - at least the cool type of integration that Engadget article illustrates - is one of the gizmos that didn't make it on the Evoque.

Would be pretty sweet.... Back to the first question I know there are a couple security systems for cars that uses iPhone. No info if it will work for your LR.
