HELP.....

After doing my normal "God I hope the rover isn't leaking" inspection of the garage floor, I noticed that my normally dry floor now has a pancake size puddle of gear oil under the rear diff. When I crawled under her, I noticed that the leak seemed to be coming from the pinion seal. There is a nice rotational spray pattern all above it. Since I needed to come inside to check the Rave CD to see where the breather lines are I figured that I would ask for help here as well.

She is a 95 with approx 84,000 miles and less then 1500 since changing the oil in the rear diff.

I'm hoping that its simply a cloged breather, but since I haven't been off road in a a long time I doubt it. If it is how do I clean it?

Also I just had new brakes put on, could they have overpacked the bearings, or done something that would cause this?

Thanks in advance for all your help. Hopefully it will be a quick (or more importantly cheap) fix, the wife is having a hard time understanding 2000 worth or reapirs and still problems occur.

The breather could be a problem, the brake job didn't cause the seal to fail and yes it has to be replaced.
It is not a big job though.
