Low-Range/Hill Descent

Is it normal for the car to make a loud groaning noise while in this mode and descending a steep hill? Sounds like it was coming from the brakes...

Yes that is HDC pulsing the breaks. Its very normal...a sound you should become very used to as it is also made by the terrain responce to transfer power to gripping wheels.

Yeah don't worry , it sounds like the frickin tires are coming off but its normal.
