LR3 SE with Lighting Package: Is this Right ?

Hello everyone - - I couldn't locate an HSE (and needed a vehicle as soon as possible), so I got a fully loaded SE instead. My SE has the optional "Lighting Package". When looking at my Owners Handbook I noted that next to the main light switch (the one that has settings for "Off", "Side Lamps", "Low Beam headlamps" and "Automatic control lamps" - - there are two other switches shown in the handbook. I believe the lower of the switches is a dimmer control for controlling how bright the instruments are at night - - I turned this and it has a very minimal effect. Has anyone else noticed this ? I have never had another vehicle where this was the case. (I like the instruments as bright as possible, so its not that big a deal - except that I think everything should work properly.)
Secondly, in the handbook there is another switch to the right of the main light switch and above the instrument dimmer control - - - This switch has numbers on it. But, this switch is Not on my Lighting Package equipped SE - - is this true for others out there with an SE so outfitted ? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on these questions, - - -

Yes, that's the dimmer control for the instrument pack... which is documented. The "range" never bothered me. The control to the right in the drawing would be a manual headlamp levelling control, which is (at least) not fitted in North America. It's not documented, because it's not there.

Manual headlamp levelling is only available/required on the base coil spring model (which I doubt it available in the US) as it's not self levelling like air spring ones
