Hi All,

searched and searched and I couldn't find an answer to whether or not anyone has put a tire on a stock LR3/no modifications with a size of 275/65/18? Looking at the new DuraTrac from Goodyear, seems aggressive but well siped for winter. The only size close is 275/65/18. I want a more aggressive option without modifications than a typical AT tire. Am I asking for my cake and trying to eat it also? Running a 265/60/18 right now and seems like plenty of room left.

Thanks.

The biggest you can go without modifying rods is 285/60 (no rubbing issues) or
BFG A/T 265/65 (some rubbing). I would not run 275/65's without modifying the
rods.

Great, I appreciate the response. Are the rods that difficult of a change? Thanks again.

Dr. Z does good work and his delivery is prompt. I have been running the rod-mod for almost a year now (not full time) and I got them from him. I am very happy with the mod and the performance I get from the extra 2" and the MT/R tires.

I have run them full time for about a year now. No problems, no bowing in or
uneven tire wear, no suspension faults.

duckdive, did you do a full 2" mod? Did you get an alignment after the mod? Good info...

Shaved 11mm off the rods. I have done 2 alignments since then. Once when I got
the BFG,s and once here just recently. I have seen guys that shaved 12-14mm off,
and in my opinion this is too much because it causes tires to "toe in" while in new
ride height which causes poor tire wear.
