At my dealer's parking lot, I've notice on some HSE (mine included) that have the black nav/cell antenna-hub on top of the roof near the back of the truck, while some HSE do not. They are all nav/bt cell equipped. Dealer says that this is due to model year difference. Is he correct?

The huge antenna on the top should only exist on factory PTI equipped vehicles. (If it has a PTI "cradle" mount, it should have the antenna outside.)

If there is no antenna fin, the vehicle doesn't have PTI, has a "dealer installed" PTI (Bluetooth only)... or it was a manufacturing error.

In '05, PTI was a delayed availability option for LR3/Disco 3... especially in North America.

grommet, my HSE does have the black (sculpted looking) antenna on the top and I do have nav and PTI but do not have the "cradle" mount. Or maybe i dont know where it is located. My build is november 05.

You really don't have a PTI cradle mount underneath the lid of the cooler box (or center storage box)? All 2006 HSEs in North America force factory PTI on you, and that means you should have the mount. If it's missing, the factory botched it.

Amir, you should have the mount, but not the cradle. You have to pay for a cradle in order to fit a phone onto it. Otherwise, it's BT.....
