More seriously:
99 D1. It'll cost less up front, is easier to work on, and is probably the most likely to be reliable of the D1's. You'll have CDL, which is nice, and a lot of the other luxury accoutrements of the D2 without the mess of having to do a lot of service through a dealer. They are also VERY easy to modify, if you go down that road.
