Often, the name"Jeep" is used as a generic type of vehicle...

I'm confused.

"On this day in 1941, Parade magazine devoted three full pages to the jeep, without which, Eisenhower said, World War II would not have been won"
I was taught that the U.S. entered the war on December 7, 1941. How did Eisenhower know that we would later be winning the war in the FUTURE? It's a conspiricy man.

I'm guessing that the quote came later, not within the orginal 1941 article. But the conspiricy theory works too!
