purchase of a disco II

I had a disco I and loved it and now I want something newer so I have been looking at the 03/04 just because I like the headlights and want the bigger motor... well I think so unless someone can steer me back to a 4.0. I see that 03 there was a auto lock diff and in 04 they went back to the manual diff like what was in my D1. What is a better diff? and in what year did they start putting the auto diff in?

No such thing as an auto diff lock that I am aware of...

If just the bigger motor.. upgrade the engine.

If just the headlights, upgrade the lights...

It would be cheaper...

If it is between an 03 and an 04, Go for the 04 because the 03 had some motor problems that were corrected for 04. joe
