For all of you who've had to whip out radio codes to reset your radio, and found the codes don't work, don't despair. I have an '98 Disco LSE, and had the same problem yesterday after my battery died. Checked the owners manual, punched the code in... and nothing! Took the positive terminal off about 4 times to redo the whole procedure and... nothing. Finally followed directions (leave car on or key in accessory postion for an hour. ) The best I got out of that was a blinking "CODE" but no tunes. Finally broke down and called to dealer to verify my code was correct. After giving him my license and registration info, I told him my code and he confirmed it was correct. The next step was to have me come in so he could remove the radio to get the serial number. Then he would call LRNA to confirm the code was correct. I DON"T THINK SO!

For all of you that have this same problem, before you fall on your sword and go to the dealer, CALL LRNA FIRST, especially if you have bough your truck used. Confirm your code is accurate. My code was not accurate. The last digit was off. LNRA gave me the real number, and problem was solved. I suspect the dealer was going to bend me over for 2 hours of work, basically charging me $200+ for a problem I solved for nothing.
