Are there any good choices for running boards for a Range Rover HSE Supercharged(06) Ive looked at the factory ones but they seem expensive. Was not sure if there is a good aftermarket board or do I go the factory route. Thanks!!

there is a seller on ebay offering similar (identical) running boards in appearance but at a 1/4 of the Land Rover price. I'm thinking of some for my wife's Autobiography, was hoping to get some feedback first.

I put the factory retractable boards on my 2011 HSE & they have been perfect. Haven't had them very long (3,400 mi) to comment on their longevity but, the system and the hardware is very tight, as you would expect on a Rover. They even have a switch that can be used to turn them off to either leave them extended or retracted, if desired. When retracted they cover the "lift" points for the jack & you have to use the frame further under the vehicle to jack up the front AND it takes out maybe an inch, at most, of clearance from the ground. Pricey for sure.

Hi tim7209! Were you able to find a good aftermarket board? I have a friend who has been parting out his Rover car parts. I will ask him if he still have the board.

I can't believe you guys typed "good" and "running boards" in the same sentence. Your Rovers ever see dirt?

Houm WA..That's funny. This is my 3rd RR and 1st with running boards. Anytime I took my previous ones into the wilds of Oklahoma's prairie hills it seemed I always ended up in the shop..never behind a tow truck but, still in need of repair for some reason or another. I have been driving around these hills all my life in ford & chevy pickups of my past & I promise, I have never asked the Rover to do more than was reasonable. This "full-size" is such a fabulous road warrior that I haven't had the chance to break it yet. I seem to surround myself with people that feel like they have to climb into the cab without the boards .. Maybe the boards will go before the truck this time ;0)
